End of season

Upon this curtain rod hung stockings, knit by my husband’s grandmum, adorned with bells and each of our names. They were a wedding gift.
And until a few hours ago, this is where our Christmas tree resided, for our first Christmas in our first home.

We enjoyed a white Christmas, and snow still blankets the ground, but somehow winter seems to have faded.

A few touches still linger, though; I can’t help myself.

Life has fallen back to its usual ebb and flow. This is both welcomed and scorned.
On such a humdrum occassion, I thought it neccessary to treat myself to something…like new bathroom accessories.

I am totally in love with the design and color scheme: slate blue, cream and brown. Funky and classic.
As the holiday season slips into memory, I intend not to look towards spring, but relish in the stark beauty of mid-winter. Here’s to soup and hot chocolate; may your New Year bring new stories to tell.

I love how warm your home looks and those photographs are just breathtaking. It's making me remember what my home looked like before it became blanketed in baby toys.
